eastlake seattle crew

here's a picture of the northern crew getting ready to head to tijuana. some of us had been on mission trips before, i think the rest didn't know what was about to hit them. this was an incredible trip with some incredible people.
two families now find themselves with safe, solid homes to live in and to raise their families in. we all pray that Christ continues to work through us all to serve Him and to share His word.
in the picture from top to bottom, left to right...
Greg, Jeff, Dale, Don, Kayleen, Ryan, Katie
Dan, Andrew, Janelle and Molly

red team drools...

perhaps that's unfair.....
okay, red team rules too!!!
so from left to right you'll notice mr andrew giving a piggy back ride, mr dale in the shadows, mr jeff's grand smile, ms janelle happy as can be, mrs katie and mr ryan looking ready to build another.
the san diego and the seattle crews had a blast getting to know one another on this trip.

the blue team rules!!

okay,, maybe that's not true, but we did pretty well.
here's a quick picture of some of the san diego crew and some of the seattle crew along with the family we built for. from the northern crew you may recognize mr dan lurking in the back, miss kayleen hiding her radiating sunburn, mr don looking a bit stoic, mrs molly smiling away, and mr greg enjoying the moment. as soon as we get some more photos of the red team we'll be positing those as well.

Changed lives near and far

Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible. our team grew in ways some of us never imagined, and i know many of us have a new perspective on life. although this was a short trip i am confident it served as a catalyst for change in many of our lives. the families we met and work with in Tijuana were wonderful and grateful beyond words. God blessed our trip with safety and amazing experiences. As the team gets settled back at home and uploads photographs we will post them here for everyone to see, as well as share some of our favorite moments. thank you all!

We Are On Our Way!

Thank you all for being a part of this journey so far! Our team is ready to head out! We are scheduled to start our trip first thing in the morning and will be at our destination Friday evening.

We will be taking many, many, many, many pictures and video throughout the weekend and will get updates through to you as much as we can while we are there and of course when we return on Monday.

This has been an amazing experience so far and we thank you again for being a part of this experience. We would also like to ask that you all continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we head to Baja to serve this amazing family!

We are thankful for each of you!

hey everyone, thanks again for following this blog. we had some good turn outs for the dine-out events. thank you to all of you who took part. now we're in the final stages of preparation for a very, very busy weekend. please say some extra prayers for us as we travel on our mission to build this house. we will post more in the days leading up to the trip on Friday, then will be sure to post photos (and try for videos) next Tuesday when we return.
oh.....Greg's feet are much better now (minus 2 toe nails)....oh well, next time more preparation will be in order! Andrew seemed to bounce back pretty quickly, a testament to staying in good shape!
